No one could have imagined in 1978 that a television series set in space, and one that TIME magazine named as that year’s “biggest rip-off,” would have an exhibit devoted to it 33 years later – and in Seattle, Washington of all places.

But Battlestar Galactica, canceled after one season, captured imaginations and resonated with audiences even before the ground-breaking re-imagining for the SyFy channel in 2003, and Seattle’s own Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame is a place that explores and celebrates imagination. . . .
